Settle, where we are based is a market town in Ribblesdale just lying off the main A65 trunk road which skirts the Yorkshire Dales National Park en route to the Lake District. Giggleswick is separated from the small bustling market town of Settle by the river Ribble.
Settle,is in one of the most scenic areas of the Yorkshire Dales. The town stands beside the largest outcrop of limestone in Britain – in a region of scars, cliffs, caves and potholes. At the rear of the town a zigzag footpath leads to the summit of Castleberg crag offering a vantage point of the town in its dale and fell. Settle is a good base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
Settle is well-known world-wide as the starting point of the Settle-Carlisle Railway and as a gateway to the Three Peaks of Penyghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough.
